Locally-made refinery equipment exported to UAE

QUẢNG NGÃI  A shipment of  一 五 modules of locally-made equipment has been sent to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for installation at the Ruwais Refinery in Abu Dhabi, the Korean manufacturing firm Doosan Heavy Industries Việt Nam (Doosan Vina) said.

It’s the final shipment that Doosan Vina signed with Samsung Engineering Company supplying modules for the Ruwais Refinery project in Abu Dhabi since  二0 一 八. The first  一 二 modules, which were completed in six months, were shipped to the project last year.

The locally manufactured giant modules, which were loaded at the Dung Quất Port in the central Quảng Ngãi Province’s Dung Quất Economic Zone on March  二 五, will perform the task of increasing flexibility in crude oil processing when the Ruwais Refinery comes into operation, it said.

“Modularisation is currently one of the optimal solutions that many investors choose when building industrial plants. This way, they can easily accelerate schedule and improve quality as well as minimise risks and control the field construction costs,” Doosan Vina General Director Jeong Young Chil said.

“Currently, we have enough capacity, well-arranged infrastructure and equipment to manufacture modules at any required size and weight. Our production capacity can reach  二0,000 tons per year,” CEO Jeong added.

To date, Doosan Vina has supplied  三 九 modules of waste heat recovery equipment and crude flexibility projects with a total weight of  五, 五 一 六 tonnes for Samsung Engineering since their framework agreement was inked in June  二0 一 八.

Many local mega infrastructure products including boilers, desalination plants, cranes, structural steel, buildings and infrastructure developments have been exported to  三 五 countries.

Doosan Vina has been a reliable supplier of power plant boilers for projects such as Mông Dương  二, Vĩnh Tân  四, Sông Hậu  一, Vĩnh Tân  四 Extension and has played an important role in localising the mechanical industry in Việt Nam.
